Hi! I’m Lauren Soutullo, a licensed mental health counselor and founder of Embodied Practice. Embodied Practice embraces a unique therapy experience that goes beyond traditional methods. I believe in utilizing the language of the body for healing and growth.
I take special care in gently creating a safe space where you can be your authentic self, while honoring your unique journey. Recognizing the profound connection between the mind and body, I empower clients to explore their experiences, emotions, and traumas through a somatic lens.
By fostering awareness of physical sensations and engaging in creative embodied practices, we will work together to unlock deeper insights, promote healing, and cultivate lasting positive change.

Scheduling your first session is simple and thoughtful. After choosing a time that works for you, I’ll provide initial paperwork to complete at home. Gathering the initial paperwork beforehand allows me to better understand how to support you—I only ask that you fill out what feels safe and comfortable to you.
Our first session may focus on getting to know each other and exploring your goals, or we might try a few of the expressive modalities I offer, depending on your preferences. Alternatively, we can use the time to expand on your history and what brings you to therapy.
This process moves at your pace, with a deep commitment to prioritizing safety and trust as we begin this meaningful work together.

Sessions can be scheduled weekly or biweekly, depending on what works best for you. Life can bring unexpected stressors, and I’m here to adjust the “intensity” of our work as needed—whether that means diving deeper or slowing down to create space for what you’re experiencing.
We’ll also explore which modalities resonate with you, whether it’s talking, movement, art, or something we discover together. You’ll develop skills to support yourself as we navigate complex trauma, nervous system regulation, and self-discovery at your pace.
